SuperShuttle
SuperShuttle or “Blue Van” service is a door-to-door, shared ride airport shuttle service. The shared-ride service groups customers together with other customers going the same direction, which reduces emissions and the number of total cars on the road. SuperShuttle services are primarily provided by Franchise Owner Operators via a franchising agreement. Operations began in 1983 in Los Angeles, Calif. in anticipation of a rise in tourist demand during the 1984 Summer Olympics.
